Haunted Walk Through Toronto's Historic Distillery District

This evening walking tour promises an unforgettable experience of the supernatural world in the heart of Toronto. This is a journey into Toronto's darker side, where every step is shrouded in mystery. It is a rare opportunity to see a different side of the city - one where the history and mystery collide.

By the day, the historic Distillery District looks like a bustling village with cute cafés, artisan shops, art galleries, and an old-world charm. But as the sun sets over Toronto, the district takes on a different persona, shrouding itself in mystery. The district has a reputation for spooky encounters and strange happenings. Visitors, residents, and workers in the area have all reported ghostly sightings and unexplained phenomena. People have seen doors opening and closing on their own and heard mysterious and unsettling banging sounds. One of the most frequently encountered spirits in the Distillery is said to be James Wort, one of the founders of the original distillery the district has been named after. It is believed that he haunts the buildings of the historic Distillery District to this day.

  • Authentic tales of terror: This 75-minute ghost tour of the historic Distillery district is not about gimmicks or jump scares. The stories you'll get to hear are based on real accounts and historical documents. Whether you choose to believe these tales or not, the goosebumps they send down your spine will be very much real.
  • Guided by master storytellers: Wearing cloaks and holding lanterns, our expert tour guides breathe life into the ghostly tales of Toronto's historic Distillery District. As you wander through the winding streets, these master storytellers will weave together a tapestry of tales, revealing a hidden world that most people never get a chance to see.
  • Supernatural meets history: This ghost walk tour will combine the thrill of the supernatural with an exploration of the district's rich past. By the end of the tour, you'll walk away with a newfound appreciation and a deeper understanding of the district's haunted heritage.

Exceptionally bad traffic made the start later than would have liked but Shawn our driver was a brilliant host making sure we experienced all the features of the trip. Skylon Tower, the Sheraton Buffet, Niagara Falls, the whirlpool, Niagara on the Lake, the world’s smallest church and the wine tasting. Highly recommend and book it all you will not be disappointed.

We went with Shawn on our tour and from the very beginning he was very professional and courteous! Shawn was an excellent safe driver and we had a smooth trip and at all of our stops we had more than enough time to enjoy the sights! I would definitely take this tour again if I were in Toronto and didn’t want to drive and I highly recommend Shawn and his fine hospitality and kindness and great knowledge of the area. Shawn loves the Niagara region and knows it well and truly loves it here and that helps make his tour exceptional!

We had a great time! We are from British Columbia and have never been to Niagara so booking through tour beez was easy and they did all the planning, even small details like booking our Uber, providing links and times. Our tour guide, Shawn was extremely knowledgeable with the falls and also the surrounding area. He was so friendly and personable. He even added on a couple extra stops whenever time was saved along the way. I will 💯 recommend Tour Beez to friends and family!

The tour allowed us to explore many sites including Niagara Falls, a scenic drive along Niagara parkway, a stop at Floral clock, and we finished with wine tasting at Niagara College. Would recommend this tour to anyone!
